The idea

A couple weeks ago, just after my daily meditation, I went to bed, as always trying to carry with me all the peaceful and amazing state you can reach through these practices.

As I fell into sleep, an imagine pops into my mind and I really felt I should try to bring it to life... It was basically a mix of influences that have grown into this concept (which has been changing as I progress on it).

It is the famous human head plugged into computers with some additions.

I was studying a bit of human anatomy and I loved the look and feel of our vertebral column. It brings out the very basic of our body: our roughness! It shows that deep inside that's what we are... Bones!

Now, at the same time, I wanted the face to show a kind of peaceful look, meaning that even though our physical state might be precarious, we can still develop peace, balance, harmony... Even when there is someone trying to suck something from your brains. That's when the tubes come into play.

I wanted them to have some sort of connection reflecting the Yin and Yang (that's why some of them showed up as half black half white) with some wires going around.

That changed a bit into something like this:

I liked the idea of adding a glass section so we can see what is flowing through those tubes.

Finally I really like the OM projection we see on the right side, as the certainty that we can overcome it all and still reach enlightenment.

It shows that the answers are not in the body, in the brain, inside the head, but actually in our mind. Our mind holds the key and when properly used it can shine all bliss from inside to the outside.

Later on I'll post more as I progress on it.

PS: I would like to thank my 2 years daughter for the doodling on the first image. :D

Perspective Drawing

I just read a book about perspective drawings and did some testing. It is actually pretty easy to apply the rules. It does not mean you will make an awesome drawing (as you can see), but you can get somewhere. At least, it is a start.

Goddess - Complete

It's been a great ride... and I've never been as proud of a project as I am of this one. Product of my labor, product of my love, my Mother Nature is here...
