So far from home

It has been a year and a half of new adventures and challenges.

Hard to bring it all back, organize, sort, select... better leave them in the past. The heart will hold to the memories. The heart is wise.

I've come to realize that life is a process of discovery. Discovery of what is yet to come, discovery of what has been planned. Some may call it fate... some destiny... Some even don't like to believe in it: control. It is all about control. Don't lose control!

But what life shows me day after day is that I am an explorer, waiting to see what the next turn hides. We choose, we think, we act and usually action and reaction are nothing but a disconnect mess. Oh but the wise awaits. And in waiting, finds the truth, discovers the wisdom that in its subtlety, can be ignored.

The patient will experience the web of cause and effect slowly building, bringing facts, people, objects from non imagined circumstances together to culminate with awkward looks of surprise and amazement.

To witness life spread its intricate drama, its theatrical play, is of tremendous joy even during the most painful parts of it. It may take time but undoubtedly it will happen and when the curtain falls, all will make sense.

I am trying to live each moment with no regrets, no attachments and no worries, believing that life will take its right course and take me where I need to go. It is a daily struggle but the sense of surrender brings comfort to the soul.

I don't believe in rights or wrongs. Just have an increasing faith that in the end, we will know the truth.

Perspective Drawing

I just read a book about perspective drawings and did some testing. It is actually pretty easy to apply the rules. It does not mean you will make an awesome drawing (as you can see), but you can get somewhere. At least, it is a start.

Goddess - Complete

It's been a great ride... and I've never been as proud of a project as I am of this one. Product of my labor, product of my love, my Mother Nature is here...

The face done

OK, here is the final drawing. The scanner got a bit small for the paper size but that's OK. Now, it's time to move into another project.
